How to get fold lines out of curtains
Fold lines from shipping are normal on open-box panels. Hang them, steam them, or iron on low — the creases aren't damage and they don't stay.
Your panel shipped folded and compressed — that's how rescued open-box curtains travel. Fold lines aren't damage. They're packing creases, and they relax out.
We inspect every panel by hand. We do not steam or press panels before they ship. Care happens at home, on your schedule.
Hang it and wait
Hang the panel on the rod as soon as you can. Gravity does most of the work. Most fold lines soften within a few days of hanging — sometimes overnight in a humid room.
Leave the panel closed or loosely gathered so the fabric hangs in long vertical folds instead of staying packed.
Steam if you're in a hurry
A garment steamer erases creases in minutes. Work top to bottom, keep the steamer head moving, and don't soak the fabric. Spot-test a hidden hem if the care label is strict.
No steamer? A hot shower's steam in a closed bathroom (panel hanging nearby, not in the water) can help light creases.
Iron on low
If you iron, use a low setting and follow the care label. A pressing cloth between iron and face fabric protects the finish. Avoid high heat on lined or blackout panels unless the label allows it.
